British American Tobacco (BAT) has announced the appointment of Bambang Hartanto as Head of HR for Indonesia. In this role, he will be responsible for talent strategy, culture development, organisational effectiveness, and employee relations across the Indonesian market.

Hartanto has been with BAT for over a decade, having held key HR leadership roles including Head of HR for the South Asia Area, Head of HR for BAT's Malaysia shared services hub, and Area Commercial HR Partner for Southeast Asia and Oceania. His experience spans workforce scaling from startup phase to large shared service operations. Prior to joining BAT, he spent nearly three years as a consultant at Mercer.

BAT is accelerating the transformation of its HR function in Indonesia. Hartanto's cross-regional HR leadership experience within the BAT system will play a critical role in driving organisational effectiveness and building a robust talent pipeline to support the company's growth ambitions.
