Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) has unveiled the promotion of Lee Jia Zhang to Chief Executive Officer, taking effect 1 October 2026.

Lee built his early-career expertise through audit assignments at Ernst & Young in the United Kingdom and KPMG’s Kuala Lumpur office. Following his entry into KLK, he stepped through multiple senior portfolios covering oleochemical operations and group-level corporate functions. He previously steered Palm-Oleo Sdn Bhd as its top local manager and later headed KLK OLEO. He gained board exposure as an executive director starting May 2018 before stepping into the group’s chief operating capacity in late 2021.

In his new capacity, Lee will steer overall group-wide business execution. He will sustain the established strategic roadmap while unlocking fresh growth avenues for KLK’s diversified agricultural-focused portfolio.
